Many thanks to the Rincon International Film Festival for honoring Aja Monet‘s song “Be Brave” with the Best Music Video Award at this year’s festival. Aja Monet is a gifted poet, musician, activist, and one of the nicest people I’ve ever worked with, and I’m grateful she chose me to direct and animate her music video. We met so many friendly and talented filmmakers at the festival, and saw lots of great films.
